Considering the majority of riding in the UK is in generally wet and muddy. Riding pants have increased in popularity as materials and fit has improved. Gone are the days of wearing big, heavy motocross trousers. A new style of MTB specific pants have improved riders comfort for not just winter but all year round. More protection is offered than wearing a short, keep those shins covered and free from brambles and other trail foliage. The fit is snug but not lycra tight, this avoids any snagging and bunching. Waterproof options are also readily available, this a must in winter and help keep the dirt at bay.
