Tubeless setup has become the norm across most cycling disciplines, with its improved puncture resistance and ability to run much lower pressures. The setup is based on having your rim taped with a specific tubeless tape, installing a tubeless valve and filling with sealant. When punctures are picked up, thorns, nails etc. The sealant is designed to seals those holes so you can carry on puncture free. There is some maintenance involved though. The sealant, naturally overtime will dry out and need to be replaced. Depending on the temperature of where you live, on average every three months. Also through the installation and removal of different tyres, the tape can sometimes be nicked and damaged. Maintaining these elements in crucial to running a smooth tubeless setup.
