Maxxis Dissector II DD Folding 3C MaxxTerra Tyre

The Maxxis Dissector II DD Folding 3C MaxxTerra Tyre is back with major upgrades for better control, cornering, and braking. Redesigned side knobs offer a larger footprint for enhanced grip and stability, especially on hard terrain. The centre tread keeps the fast-rolling 2-3-2 layout but now features split centre knobs for better braking and terrain conformity. Transition knobs are pushed outward for smoother cornering.

Perfect as a front tire on 130–140mm trail bikes or a fast rear tire on 150mm+ setups in dry conditions. Pairs great with the Forekaster or Recon for a balanced ride.

3C MaxxTerra:

• Maxxis’ 3C MaxxTerra is an intermediate triple compound configuration used across our mountain tire line. The 3C MaxxTerra compound offers more traction than 3C MaxxSpeed, yet provides better tread wear and less rolling resistance than MaxxGrip, which makes it ideal for trail riding in all conditions.

DoubleDown (DD):

• DoubleDown (DD) is the next step in the evolution of the dual-ply tire casing for enduro racing. Two 120 TPI casing layers reinforced with a butyl insert provide the enduro racer with the support and protection of a downhill tire, but in a lighter package.

Tubeless Ready:

• Tubeless tyre provide the rider with many benefits. The ability to run lower air pressures, which generally improves traction. Lower rolling resistance when compared to a tube-type tyre and less chance of flatting because there is no tube. Liquid sealants should only be used in the following types of tyre: tubeless road, tubular, and tubeless ready.

Wide Trail:

• Wide Trail (WT) construction optimises the tyre’s tread layout and profile on today’s modern, wider rims. Traditional tyres are designed around older, narrower rims and can create an overly square tyre profile, leading to less than optimal performance. WT tyres are optimised for a 35mm inner rim width but are proven to work over a range from 30-35mm inner rim widths, depending on the rider’s preference.
