Maxxis High Roller 3 DD Tyre

Shop the Maxxis High Roller 3 DD Tyre at Grip & Pedal. The legendary High Roller returns with an all-new hybrid tread design, but the same old winning ways!

The High Roller 3 has been developed with extensive input and testing from our World Cup athletes. The third generation of the High Roller is built to take on mixed conditions at high speeds.

The centre tread uses a mid-spike design similar to the Shorty but with a lower knob height. These knobs provide excellent soil penetration in soft, loose, or dusty conditions while remaining stable enough to prevent squirm on hard surfaces. Cornering traction is enhanced via large, well-supported side knobs for predictable handling.

The third gen High Roller slots into the Maxxis gravity range between the Assegai and the Shorty. The widely-spaced tread of the High Roller clears debris better than the Assegai and it performs better in drier conditions compared to the Shorty. These attributes make the High Roller a versatile choice when conditions are soft or loose, but don’t quite warrant a mud spike.

3C MaxxGrip:

• 3C MaxxGrip uses the softest rubber compounds to offer the ultimate in grip and slow rebound properties for unparalleled traction in downhill applications.

DoubleDown (DD):

• DoubleDown (DD) is the next step in the evolution of the dual-ply tire casing for enduro racing. Two 120 TPI casing layers reinforced with a butyl insert provide the enduro racer with the support and protection of a downhill tire, but in a lighter package.

Tubeless Ready:

• Tubeless tyre provide the rider with many benefits. The ability to run lower air pressures, which generally improves traction. Lower rolling resistance when compared to a tube-type tyre and less chance of flatting because there is no tube. Liquid sealants should only be used in the following types of tyre: tubeless road, tubular, and tubeless ready.

Wide Trail:

• Wide Trail (WT) construction optimises the tyre’s tread layout and profile on today’s modern, wider rims. Traditional tyres are designed around older, narrower rims and can create an overly square tyre profile, leading to less than optimal performance. WT tyres are optimised for a 35mm inner rim width but are proven to work over a range from 30-35mm inner rim widths, depending on the rider’s preference.
